Description

ANR Group Inc is recruiting students currently enrolled in Construction Management for summer internship opportunities with Hanford Mission Integration Solutions on the Hanford site in Richland,  WA.

 

This internship is open to students with any class standing that can be available for a 12-to-14-week internship between June 3rd,  2024,  and August 30th,  2024.  This position is a full-time,  40 hour per week internship.  The schedule is Monday-  Thursday,  6 a.m.  to 4:30 p.m.  The hourly rate for this position is $21.55 per hour for Graduating High School Seniors/Freshman/Sophomores,  $21.83 per hour for Juniors,  and $23.93 per hour for Seniors/College Graduates.

Responsibilities

Responsible for the safe,  compliant,  and efficient execution of construction projects.  Duties include coordinating with all Project Delivery Service Personnel,  HMIS functional area support personnel,  construction subcontractor and project customer to ensure all staffing,  material,  and equipment requirements to perform all construction,  testing and commissioning duties.  Additionally,  will be responsible for coordinating constructability of assigned projects.  Specific responsibilities include:

  • Performing oversight of and monitoring day-to-day construction operations at the job site to ensure compliance with safety,  technical,  contractual,  and regulatory requirements.
  • Preparing Statements of Work for Construction (CSOW)  subcontracts.
  • Managing construction subcontracts to ensure scope,  cost,  schedule,  and quality are within requirements.
  • Scheduling and facilitating field walk downs,  pre-job meetings and weekly construction status meetings.
  • Provide oversites for all subcontractors.
  • Conducting and oversight of safety meetings and ensuring subcontractors are working safely and in compliance with approved safety plans,  policies,  and procedures.
  • Verifying field configuration control and ensuring adherence to construction specifications and standards
  • Assisting in ordering Government Furnished construction materials as needed.
  • Researching and reviewing lessons learned and reviewing reports with project personnel for applicability to on-going projects.
  • Documenting potential hazards and issues associated with proposed work. 
    Ensuring hazard controls are identified and incorporated into project planning.
  • Ensuring necessary forms,  permits,  drawings,  and documents are identified or included in the construction work package.
  • Identifying and recommending lock and tag boundaries and working with the Controlling Organization for lock and tag development and approval.
  • Performing constructability reviews for project design packages,  30%,  60%,  and 90%  to ensure buildable and biddable.  Supporting execution or constructability reviews with other functions,  as necessary.
  • Reviewing and approving vendor submittals.
  • Reviewing and approving disposition of RCIs and design documents.
  • Supporting project planning for Project Delivery construction tasks.
    Supporting procedure reviews,  and revisions as requested.
  • Managing construction project closeout for assigned tasks.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Able to read,  interpret,  and use Constructions drawings,  design documents,  and blueprints.
  • Knowledge of constructions methods and results including safe techniques and quality standards
  • Able to help develop schedules,  interpret,  and provide schedule updates.
  • Must be highly organized.
  • Excellent communications skills.

 

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience with electrical,  mechanical,  civil,  and construction
