This industry is comprised of establishments which engage in the retailing of merchandise, generally without transformation, and render services incidental to the sale of merchandise (e.g., optical goods stores which perform in-store lens grinding). Two sectors are included in the Retail Trade Industry. The first is store retailers, which operate in a fixed location and are designed to attract a high level of walk-in customers. The second is non-store retailers, which reach customers by other means.
