Description

ANR Group Inc is recruiting students currently enrolled in Chemical Engineering,  Chemistry,  Environmental Science,  Biology,  Physics,  or Biochemistry  for a summer internship opportunity with Hanford Laboratory Management and Integration on the Hanford site in Richland,  WA.

This internship is open to students with Junior or Senior  class standing that can be available for a 12-to-14-week internship.  This position is a full-time,  40 hour per week internship.  The schedule is Monday-  Thursday,  6 a.m.  to 4:30 p.m.  The hourly rate is $26-$29 per hour depending on major and class standing.

Assistance in creating method validation,  measurement of uncertainty,  and method detection limit/limit of detection/limit of quantitation data packets for HASQARD 5 implementation and maintenance of quality programs.

Responsibilities

Duties:

  • Overview of the developing and validating methods for use in a nuclear laboratory setting.
  • Hands-on work performing the computations for this,  accompanied by learning experiences around QA and analytical discussion/demonstrating how a regulated lab operates,  requirements and considerations for validating analytical methods.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • US Citizenship
  • Maintain a 2.5 GPA or higher
  • Must be 18 years of age or older at the time of the internship
  • Junior or Senior class standing,  fulltime students (12+  credit hours)  during the two quarters/semesters immediately preceding the start of the internship or a recent college graduate

Desired Qualifications:

  • Basic Excel
  • At least one year of chemistry coursework completed.
