Description

  • Support the AWB events team in planning and executing AWB special events,  seminars,  webinars, AWB’s Awards Program and other programs 
  • Develop and implement social media programming for AWB events 
  • Develop and proof content for weekly events email campaign 
  • Brainstorm creative ideas and event themes to create an immersive experience 
  • Support leadership in developing event meeting agendas, record meeting minutes and other administrative needs 
  • Strong computer skills with the ability to learn new programs, applications and technology,  e.g., Asana, Zoom, Event Management Platform, Microsoft OneDrive,  etc. 
  • Database management 
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds 
  • As well as any other duties assigned by supervisor

  • Ability to communicate and work successfully with members,  the public,  and other departments at AWB. 
  • Ability to work with other team members to achieve challenging team objectives and goals,  as well an individual objectives and goals. 
  • Excellent organizational skills,  ability to work under deadlines, multi-tasking, dedication to quality,  and ability to work independently and as part of a team. 
  • Demonstrates commitment to completion of projects on a timely basis with accuracy. 
  • Ability to travel to support multiple day events.  

Qualifications

The candidate should have at least years of experience in a professional environment with an interest in hospitality,  advocacy,  public relations, and/or marketing.  

Compensation:  $17/HR |  Up to 20 hours a week
