Approximate employment timeline:  May through August (flexible)

Assist the Marketing &  Community Relations Coordinator and Administrative team in supporting both personal and commercial line teams and aiding the camaraderie of the agency as a whole.  The position will serve as a support to the marketing and administrative departments to support the “day-to-day”  operations and allow for more time to be invested in campaigns,  creativity and outreach.  Must be comfortable with social media,  networking,  writing content,  video and be quick to pick up new platforms.  Work within team environment to ensure clients and team members are well cared for.  Position success relies on strong internal and external communication,  strong computer skills,  organization and creativity.  Position will work on-site in our Vancouver office as part of our administrative department and report to the Administrative Manager and Marketing &  Community Relations Coordinator.

Responsibilities

  • Work with Marketing Coordinator to make and schedule monthly social media posts
  • Monitor all social media platforms for trending news,  ideas,  and feedback
  • Put together and send monthly welcome kits to clients
  • Help brainstorm,  organize and put together referral gifts and distribute
  • Help attend events (such as golf tournaments),  socializing with people and networking
  • Organize &  send out monthly client touch points (birthday cards,  thank you cards,  etc.)
  • Film and edit video content as needed
  • Contribute to creating mock-ups,  email campaigns,  and social media content
  • Assist in team engagement and event planning activities as needed
  • Assist in daily administrative duties (mail,  office upkeep,  minimal phone duties)
  • Assist in administrative campaigns (help implement process &  procedures for upcoming administrative projects,  handbook updates,  onboarding checklist revitalization)

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate course for marketing,  communications,  or in a similar field or recently graduated with a bachelor’s degree in marketing,  business,  communications,  or related field 
  • A strong understanding of social media platforms including,  but not limited to:  Instagram,  Facebook,  LinkedIn,  TikTok
  • Experience or familiarity with social media scheduling platforms 
  • Knowledge of marketing principles and strategies
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software
  • Highly motivated,  able to work independently and eager to take on new challenges
  • Strong technical background
  • Excellent teamwork skills and a supportive member of sales team
  • Strong work ethic,  able to multi-task,  complete work accurately and meet deadlines
  • Position requires the ability to lift up to 50lbs.
