About Vancouver Market Box

The Market Box Program increases equitable food access and culturally relevant nutrition education for lower income communities while investing in local farms.  We source the best selection of fruits and vegetables from our farmers and prepare a weekly produce box that includes recipes,  storage tips,  and easy preparation ideas.  Produce boxes are delivered free of charge to food insecure families,  eliminating barriers to accessing fresh foods.

About this Position

The Food Access Intern will assist with the logistics of the Market Box program including pickin up produce orders from farmers,  tracking inventory,  sorting,  and organizing produce,  and packing boxes for home delivery.  The ideal candidate has an interest in farmers markets,  local food,  farmers,  and passion for working towards building an equitable food system.
