We are a small-scale   farm dedicated to sustainable agriculture practices.  We are seeking a motivated individual to join us as a Harvest Person.  The Harvest Person will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful harvest of our crops while maintaining the high-quality standards that our customers expect.

Responsibilities

Harvesting:  Perform daily harvest of fruits,  vegetables,  and herbs according to harvesting schedules and guidelines.

Quality Control:  Inspect harvested produce for quality,  ensuring only the freshest and highest-quality items are selected for sale or distribution.

Handling and Packaging:  Properly handle harvested produce to prevent damage and maintain freshness.  Package harvested items according to specific requirements,  including washing,  sorting,  and packing for market or delivery.

Record-Keeping:  Maintain accurate records of harvested quantities,  varieties,  and any issues encountered during harvesting to inform future planning and decision-making.

Field Maintenance:  Assist in general farm maintenance tasks such as weeding,  watering,  and soil preparation as needed.

Communication:  Collaborate effectively with other team members to coordinate harvest activities and communicate any issues or concerns related to crop quality or availability.

Adherence to Organic Standards:  Ensure compliance with organic farming principles and standards in all aspects of harvesting and handling.

Qualifications

Previous experience in agriculture,  farming,  or related field preferred but not required.

Ability to work efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced outdoor environment.Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects and work in various weather conditions.

Effective communication skills and ability to work well within a team.Passion for organic farming and sustainable agriculture practices.
