Pacific Lifestyle Homes—a growing regional homebuilder—seeks a part-time Human Resources Intern.  This role partners with the HR Manager and Talent Acquisition Consultant to support hiring process initiatives.  Responsibilities include PLH/GCH employer branding projects,  applicant communication,  job posting development and maintenance of    the Applicant Tracking System.

Pacific Lifestyle Homes offers a competitive compensation package for the HR Intern role with an hourly rate of $16.00 –  $18.00.  This position is considered a non-exempt role. 

  Pacific Lifestyle Homes also provides an extensive benefits package including:

  • Up to 120 hours of paid time off for the first year

 The Ideal candidate will commit a minimum of 16 hours per week for up to 12 weeks or more in person between the hours of 8-5p Monday through Friday. 

 Our offices are located in Vancouver,  WA close to I-205.

Responsibilities

Human Resources Intern Responsibilities include

  • Post jobs to applicable job boards and other sites as requested;  ensure accuracy.
  • Maintain jobs in the Applicant Tracking System.
  • Review incoming applications for assigned positions.
  • Answer candidate questions;  professionally represent PLH/GCH by providing a positive candidate experience.
  • Conduct telephone interviews for assigned positions.
  • Support hiring managers with coordinating reference checks and required screenings with finalist candidates as requested.
  • Update the company’s employer branding profiles and create a process for routine updates.
  • Assist in scheduling interviews with interview team members.
  • Effectively manage multiple projects to meet organizational timeframes and needs.
  • Provide additional support to the HR Manager and Talent Acquisition Consultant as requested.

Qualifications

Human Resources Intern Desired Knowledge,  Skills and Abilities:

 

  • High school education or equivalent;  some college coursework is preferred.  Current students are encouraged to apply.  A career focus in human resources or another related business field is ideal.
  • Experience providing administrative support in a professional office environment.
  • Organized and detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task effectively;  demonstrated accuracy and follow through.
  • Project management experience is useful.
  • Positive interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Prior successful collaborations with a variety of departments or groups.
  • Responsible with strong work ethic,  integrity,  and reliability.
  • Demonstrates initiative and good judgment.
  • Professional,  approachable and team-oriented.
  • Proficient in use of computer software to include:  Word,  Excel,  Outlook.  Prior use of an Applicant Tracking System is helpful but not required.
  • Experience managing calendars and scheduling meetings is beneficial.
