Description

Jubilee was founded by Ralph and Cheryl Broetje in 1995 as one of a number for-profit and non-profit organizations to serve their faith-based mission.  As a charitable organization,  Jubilee Foundation is a holistic community development organization.  We know that when people feel safe and have a sense of belonging and purpose,  a shared desire to help each other develops.  With each community we’ve developed and managed,  we’ve learned how to do this work better,  employing the values of Servant Leadership,  Trauma-informed Care and Empowered Worldview in deeper and more meaningful ways.

Jubilee is offering a PT (up to 19hr/week)  internship opportunity in support of Jubilee’s Neighboring Initiative.   Work includes in person and virtual public events,  event communications and coordination with an emphasis on personal interviews and home visits in a neighborhood setting.  This position consists of a research project,  database organization,  assistance with event planning and execution,  and other projects as requested.  This position reports to the Community Impact Manager.

This is a terrific opportunity for anyone contemplating social work career which would gain hands-on experience in the nonprofit sector with a faith-based community development organization.  The Community Engagement Intern will leave Jubilee with an excellent exposure to community engagement efforts as well as hands on experience with the programs and practices related to research and data interpretation as well as community outreach.
