Description

ANR Group Inc recruits students for paid summer internships on the Department of Energy site in Richland,  WA.  Students are assigned to Central Plateau Cleanup Company (CPCCo)  or Hanford Mission Integration Solutions (HMIS)  for a 12-14 week internship.  CPCCo and HMIS offer students mentorship and training in a variety of professions.  Selected students become ANR Group Inc employees and are assigned to either CPCCo or HMIS for the duration of the internship.

CPCCo is the prime contractor responsible for the safe,  environmental cleanup of the Central Plateau at the Hanford Site.  CPCCo will provide management of site operations for Department of Energy Richland cleanup facilities;  facility Deactivation,  Decommissioning,  Decontamination,  and Demolition and waste site remediation;  transuranic waste management;  Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA)  /  Comprehensive Environmental Response,  Compensation,  and Liability Act (CERCLA)  decision documents to support cleanup actions associated with the Hanford Federal Facility Agreement and Consent Order and business core functions to support these efforts.

The HMIS Team,  is comprised of globally-known businesses and is responsible for all Hanford site services.  HMIS introduces innovations and efficiencies which ensure safety,  deliver site integration,  streamline processes,  deliver cost savings,  and cultivate collaboration pursuant to the Hanford mission.  HMIS enables cleanup by providing Hanford Site Services,  including adequate and reliable water,  power,  road maintenance,  information technology,  cyber security,  safeguards and security,  sitewide safety standards,  training and countless more integrated services and deliverables across the Hanford Site.

Internships typically begin in May or June and end in August or September.  Hourly rates range from $17.00/hour to $32.00/hour depending on degree type and academic status.  It is expected that the positions will be in-person,  but there may be some opportunity for remote work.  Local students may qualify for year-round internships.

Qualifications

Minimum requirements for the program are below:

US Citizen

18 years of age or older

Currently enrolled or recent college graduate

Maintain a 2.5 GPA

Enrolled as a full-time student (12+  credit hours)  during the two quarters/semesters preceding the start of the internship
