Responsibilities

The Community Development internship will give a very broad stroke view of STCU’s Community Relations department focusing on the community development side which includes event coordination,  internal and external communications,  office coordination,  and research.  Responsibilities will include assisting the Community Development team with their outreach in Washington and Idaho,  which might include event preparation,  post-event analysis and analytics,  community events and volunteerism,  and assisting with financial education as needed.   Be a content provider for various writing assignments.  Work on signature events and initiatives including Back to School,  Administrative Professionals Day,  and educator grants.  Perform general administration and office duties,  including coordination of specialty items/giveaways,  database entry,  and preparation of written correspondence.

Qualifications

Required

  • Candidate needs to be an enrolled college student for the entirety of the internship and seeking credits,  through May 2022 (Masters students ok).
  • Excellent verbal,  organizational and writing skills. 
  • Microsoft Office Suite,  including Microsoft Outlook,  Word,  Excel and Forms.
  • Student must be a hard worker with a fun,  can-do attitude.

Preferred 

  • Community involvement,  volunteer experience,  office experience,  and prior event coordination. 
  • Reliable transportation needed.

  • Duration:  January –  May 2022
  • Hours per Week:  Average of 20 hours per week,  Monday –  Friday,  occasional nights and weekends.
  • Car Needed:  Yes
  • Mileage Reimbursement:  Yes,  above normal home to Hutton Building or HQ commute
  • Pay:  TBD depending on experience and school standing.
